A workshop in two parts: WRITING FROM A CHARACTER'S PERSPECTIVE MASTERCLASS & EDITING SESSION

TUESDAY JULY 23RD, 11AM – 1:20PM AND AGAIN AT 4PM – 5:30PM During an 11-Plus English exam, candidates are sometimes asked to write a story from the perspective of one of the characters in the comprehension text they have just read. This character is often in the story, but in a passive role, whereas students will have to bear the task of making that character active. This workshop will offer comprehensive practice for such a question. The workshop will consist of two parts: Part 1, 11am - 1:20pm: rules for Writing from a Character's Perspective in an 11-Plus Text followed by planning and writing with teacher input and guidance. Feedback and percentage mark sent by 3:45pm Part 2, 4pm - 5:30pm: lesson, revision and editing This class includes the following: - 4 hours of teacher input - comprehensive marking of stories with percentage - post-class email summary
