An exam in two parts: WRITING FROM A CHARACTER'S PERSPECTIVE EXAM AND EDITING SESSION

TUESDAY AUGUST 6TH, 11:30AM – 12:30PM AND AGAIN AT 4PM – 5:30PM During an 11-Plus English exam, candidates are sometimes asked to write a story from the perspective of one of the characters in the comprehension text they have just read. This character is often in the story, but in a passive role, whereas students will have to bear the task of making that character active. This will test children's ability to undertake such a question. The exam will consist of two parts: Part 1, 11:30am - 12:30pm: read a text and continue it independently from an alternative character's perspective. Feedback and percentage mark sent by 3:45pm Part 2, 4pm - 5:30pm: lesson, revision and editing This class includes the following: - 3 hours of teacher input - comprehensive marking of stories with percentage - post-class email summary
